Remote System Administration

FSP can save you money and time by handling many system and network administration functions through our remote administration services.  There are many different levels of service available to handle each client's specific needs.

FSP announces the addition of our Remote Administration Services (RAS) division.

FSP can identify and recommend upgrades, or even fix potential problems before they cause serious downtime and expensive repairs.

RAS Features:

  • Asset Services - Acts as a virtual asset tag by providing a unique asset ID so devices - especially portable products such as notebooks, laptops and PDAs - can be located worldwide and potentially recovered in the event of loss or theft

  • Inventory Service - Provides comprehensive inventory information, from individual components of every device to each operating system. Also includes user baseline and comparative reporting.

  • Performance Service - Monitors the overall health of the system and its components and processes.

  • Reactive Support Service - Facilitates Web-based communications between technical support teams and company wide technology users.

Think of it as a tracking and early warning system for computers.

What can be monitored? We can track the following key indicators:
     •Available memory
     •CPU utilization
     •Available disk space
     •System resources
     •GDI resources
     •User resources
     •Hard drive status
     •System initialization
     •Abnormal system shutdowns
     •Available cache buffers
     •Volume dismounts (Netware)
     •Available battery life (Palm OS)
     •System usage time (Palm OS)

If abnormal conditions are detected, the system notifies our Network Operations Center (NOC) and the NOC immediately notifies our skilled technicians according to defined alerting rules. Service assistance can now be provided proactively in order to minimize the loss of your productivity.
